🌟 We first started by mixing our water and vegetable glycerin. We used mainly water with a little bit of glycerin to help prevent the water from drying out over time. This mixture is going to act as the liquid that will allow the crushed opal to be free floating within the pen. We selected these two liquids for this project because it makes the perfect consistency, not too thick or thin. You could also use glue, epoxy resin, or any other desired liquid of your choice.
🌟 Once you have you liquid ready, you can began to fill the empty tube. We started by adding a gram to each pen tube. Then add liquid to the tube but make sure to not overfill. Try layering the crushed opal and liquid for ease of mixing. You will want a little bit of room within the tube to make sure the crushed opal can freely float.
🌟 When the tube is filled, you can place a finger over the hole of the tube and gently shake to disperse the materials. If your tube is not full enough for your liking, you can add more crushed opal or liquid at this time.
🌟 To finalize the pen, you can put a small amount of glue around the plug that will seal the crushed opal and liquid into the tube. This way you can avoid leaking or spills.
🌟 Now you have a unique crushed opal pen that you will want to bring everywhere with you...

]]>Have you heard of Shaker Jewelry before?
From Shaker Pendants to Shaker Rings, there is a whole new world of unique jewelry pieces every gemstone lover wants to add to their collection. Learn how to make your own Shaker Necklace with Faceted Opal Stones...
💎 We started by prepping the pendant with an alcohol wipe. This helps ensure that the pendant is clean and does not have any dust or particulars that may otherwise be visible.
💎 We then selected our Faceted Opal Stones. We placed the following items inside of the pendant; 10, of our 5mm Black Fire Faceted Stones and 5, of our 6mm Black Fire Faceted Stones. This was the perfect amount to fill the pendant without overcrowding, so this way the stones can freely move around.
💎 The final step would be to seal the pendant shut with your choice of glue for extra protection.
💎 Now you have a beautiful Shaker Necklace! We love this design because it is an unique way of using the Faceted Opal Stones.

]]>Have you ever wanted to make your own earrings? Try this DIY earring project and elevate your jewelry collection with our beloved opal cabochons.
Two Black Fire Opal 8mm Cabochons, Two Pearl White Opal 8mm Cabochons, Flat Back Silver & Gold Earring Posts, CA Glue, and Sandpaper.
✨ We started by preparing the flat back earring posts. We buffed the flat back of the earring post with a fine sand paper. This removes some shine and the smooth texture from the earring to give the glue a better surface for adhesion.
✨ We then applied a small amount of glue to the flat back portion of the earring. It is important not to apply too much glue or it will squeeze out the sides when applying the cabochon. To make it easier to apply, we squeezed a small portion of glue on a paper towel and used a toothpick to apply the glue to the earring. You can use any glue of your choice for this project.
✨ Then we applied the opal cabochon to the flat back earring by lining up the pieces and apply pressure until the glue starts to hold the cab in place. Allow the earrings to fully dry until the glue is completely hardened.
Now you have your own pair of opal cabochon earrings!
